SANTA MONICA, CA–(Marketwired – Nov 6, 2013) – Crowdfunding technology provider InvestedIn (http://www.invested.in) announced today the acquisition of My New Financial Advisor (http://www.MyNewFinancialAdvisor.com) (MNFA), the premier provider of scalable marketing resources to financial advisors and financial intermediaries worldwide. Through the acquisition, MNFA is providing financial advisors with the capability to offer complimentary crowdfunding capital raising platforms to startup companies raising capital.

The platforms offer provides advisors with an invaluable tool to acquire new clients and increase assets under management and entrepreneurs with a powerful capital raising tool. Prior to offering the technology, MNFA worked with SoHo Financial Services LLC (SoHo) to test the business model. Working with companies that have raised at least a Series A round of financing, SoHo generated over $100 million in AUM in 10 weeks.

The MNFA channel partnership with financial advisors comes at a significant time as the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) officially lifted the ban on general solicitation, enabling companies the ability to more broadly advertise their offerings to investors.

“In the competitive financial services industry, financial advisors need to think outside the box and look at value-adding tools and resources for prospective clients like venture capital firms and the executives of promising start-ups,” said Frank Troise, founder of MNFA. “We are providing financial advisors with a way to acquire more wealth management accounts at the beginning of the wealth acquisition lifecycle.”

MNFA selected three of the country’s best financial advisors to preview the capital raising platform business model prior to their nationwide rollout which included Loring Ward, Mercer Advisors and Buckingham Asset Management.

“This is an exciting opportunity for us to begin early dialogues with successful entrepreneurs regarding their wealth and the 401K plan for their company,” said Grant Blindbury of FMB Wealth Management – a Loring Ward firm. “With this tool, our conversations will be more strategic and substantive than ever before.”

Based upon the success of the model, MNFA is also creating channel partnerships with leading venture capital firms to offer fundraising platforms to the executives within in their portfolio companies.

“As venture capital firm, this will give us the opportunity to create immediate value for our portfolio executives and to differentiate ourselves from other venture capital firms,” said Eric Manlunas, General Partner of Siemer Ventures.
