Massolution’s goal is to build the most reliable and comprehensive source of information on the crowdfunding industry. The data from the resulting report will be used by crowdfunding platform (CFP) operators, investors, crowdfunders, academics, and members of the media. Through your participation, you will help the company show the growth of the global crowdfunding industry.

As a way of thanking you for taking the time to respond, all survey participants will receive a complimentary Survey Participant copy of the report, as well as acknowledgement in the report and on Crowdsourcing.org. Furthermore, the ten most complete surveys will receive a month of media promotion on Crowdsourcing.org. For more information about the participant benefits, as well as data privacy and the non-disclosure agreement, please visit the survey page.

Crowdfunding is growing faster than ever before, and to keep up with the changes and growth, Massolution is preparing our most comprehensive and far reaching report yet. Here are some of the topics the company will be addressing:

Market growth and composition in aggregate and for each crowdfunding model and the globalization of crowdfunding
Growth in worldwide funding volume and composition by funds raised, category, year, and region
Market growth and composition in each category by number of CFPs and by number of campaigns for each year and region
Location of CFPs globally and percentage breakdown of CFPs by region and category
Average campaign size by category and analysis of funds pledged compared to funds paid out
Funds paid out by industry sector (e.g., Financial Services) and by market segment (e.g., Real Estate)
Analysis of many specific and critical topics: CFP business and revenue models, use of payment systems, regulatory environments, CFP best practices, etc.
This research is only possible, however, with the support of CFPs and industry thought leaders like you.

The survey will close on September 30. There are five general company questions, as well as either ten questions for pre-launch CFPs or fifteen for active CFPs. Massolution has also added a page of five questions for platforms that are no longer active, out of interest in learning more about the challenges of operating a platform.

The survey has been designed to save each completed page, so respondents don’t have to answer all questions in one sitting. Some questions may be difficult to address, so partial responses, while not encouraged, are acceptable. If you have any questions, please email the Massolution team at survey@crowdsourcing.org.
