DreamfundMe (http://dreamfund.me), a socially connected crowdfunding platform, is now accepting submissions for crowdfunding campaigns. Founded in February of 2013, DreamfundMe is headquartered in St. Louis. The company wants to help individuals, entrepreneurs, creatives, innovators, organizations, and non-profits make their dreams become reality by raising funds for great ideas and causes. The first 15 campaigns submitted and approved will get prime visibility on DreamfundMe’s home page when funding begins on October 11th.
“We’re in the business of helping people. We want to build relationships throughout the crowdfunding process, and do our part to ensure that our campaign owners are successful,” DreamfundMe founder Robert Becker said. “Our objective is to be more than a faceless platform where those who need money can raise money. Whether you want to raise money for college tuition, a youth sports team, a startup, to record an album, or for some other need, if you have a great story to tell, we’ll play an active role in helping you succeed.”
The company already has a number of campaigns currently under review. “We’re accepting campaigns from across the country, but we really want a strong St. Louis presence out of the gate because this is our hometown. Being located in the same city really gives us an edge to help make those dreams come true,” Becker adds. “Regardless of where our campaigns are based, we want to welcome Dreamfunders with a nice collection of campaigns to support in October.”
DreamfundMe offers flexible and all-or-nothing crowdfunding campaigns. All-or-nothing campaign owners set a goal and only collect funds if they meet their funding target. When flexible campaigns are chosen, campaign owners keep any funds raised, regardless of whether their goal is met. There is no cost to list a campaign; a small fee is only assessed when campaign owners successfully collect funds.
Campaigns can be submitted at the company’s website (http://dreamfund.me) and will undergo a review process prior to being approved. DreamfundMe uses WePay to securely process contributions from dreamfunders, and to deliver funds to campaign owners. Dreamfunding begins when approved projects go live on October 11th.
