CrowdFundBeat News – The IndyHumane Animal Welfare Center is launching its first ever crowdfunding campaign. The Indianapolis Humane Society is planning on purchasing a bus that will allow them to hit the road and reach out to more neighborhoods around central Indiana. The type-A school bus will be remodeled and converted into a mobile vaccine clinic.
One mission of IndyHumane is to provide an alternative solution to expensive veterinary care in the hopes of reducing the statistics of owners surrendering their pets to the animal shelter. By moving their team off-site, the mobile vaccine clinic has the ability to offer various services such as vaccinations, microchips, nail clipping and flea or tick control to pet owners from various neighborhoods which really need them. Not just that, this campaign also aims to educate and spread awareness about pet care to the general public.
The IndyHuman AWC mobile clinic campaign officially starts today on Indiegogo and will continue to run for the next 60 days. Their aim is to obtain a total of $27,000 in funding. $20,000 from the collected funds will go to the purchasing of a bus and the remaining money will be used for renovating and repainting the vehicle. Since this is a non-profit project, supporters will receive perks in the forms of naming a pet that is taken into the shelter, signing your name on the bus or having lunch with the CEO, just to name a few.
